It is reported that during their evolution, some Shoggoths mutated and developed self-awareness which even led to a rebellion against their masters.
According to some archives Shoggoths can be traced back to an earlier existence on Planet Earth where they inhabited a cavern city underneath Antarctica.
The Shoggoth is a fearsome sight. DSEC security teams were instantly paralyzed by fear when first sighting this ancient creature. Attempts to bring down the creature didn't result in much success and ended with the death of 3 team members. Following more intense training and some weapon adjustments, the teams were eventually able to take down some of these creatures, though not without losing some brave souls in the process.''
