Monrian Born Cyrene Field Trip | Weekend of Jan 12th

This will be our first Monrian Born field trip to Cyrene, but I'm sure not our last. When we set out to create our Monrian Born Program, we wanted to make sure that we gave our Monrian Born an opportunity to explore other locations and to complete the beginner missions at each.

The goal for 2018 is to coordinate a field trip each month if possible. It will be more beneficial for our Monrian Born if we keep this consistent. Our Monria Volunteer Support Team (MVST) joins us to help guide our MBs through beginner missions, along with provide support for other activities.

However, this does not mean that others can't join us on our field trips if they are interested. These field trips are fun, and with us, you just never know how it will all unfold, other than sticking to our primary goals. We also invite the Cyrene locals to join us as well if they would like.

PLANET CYRENE FIELD TRIP AGENDA​

TRAVEL

• depart Monria on Friday, Jan 12th during our regular travel schedule
• if you are not on Monria, you can join us on our way to Cyrene
• we will return to Monria on Sunday, Jan 14th during our regular travel schedule
• the travel schedule for both days begins at 20:00 game time from Monria

COMMUNICATION

• please let us know your intentions of joining us on this field trip
• this goes for the Monria Volunteer Support Team (MVST) members
• we have an in-game field trip chat channel that you will be sent an invite to

ACTIVITIES

• our primary focus will be at the Atlas Hunting Grounds and the Rookie Training Area
• we will also explore the A.R.C Immigration - Tanhok location and the Tempo Trial Missions
• we will definitely be doing TP runs because there is one location we all need to be at on Saturday
• --- the Saturday surprise will take place between 13:00 - 15:00 game time
• there will also be team hunts on higher level mobs to give the Monrian Born the experience
• --- several of us usually provide healing services to keep our MBs alive and active

ITINERARY

• Friday, Jan 12th
• --- 20:00 game time -- be prepared to be picked up during our travel schedule
• --------- summons at Monria is at 19:45 and 19:55
• --------- summons at Arkadia is at 20:15 and 20:25
• --------- summons at Calypso is at 20:45 and 20:55
• --------- summons at Rocktropia is at 21:15 and 21:25
• --------- we arrive at Cyrene at 21:30, so anyone joining us on the field trip should depart there
• --------- the travel schedule ends at Monria at 22:00
• --- 22:00 game time -- meet at the Rookie Training Area TP
• --------- anyone who has not been added to the Monria Field Trip chat channel will be added then
• --------- field trip communication will take place in this channel so everyone knows what we're doing
• --------- we will collect the quests at this location and get the free items
• --------- refer to the Cyrene Comprehensive Data Spreadsheet for quests/mobs/locations/rewards
• --------- in the essence of time, we will continue to collect quests at the Atlas Hunting Grounds
• --------- the one thing we need to do is make sure that everyone has the Ice Plateau Outskirts TP
• --------- after we get that accomplished, we can go back to collecting and doing quests
• --------- let's see if we can get everyone the Maze Hammer who doesn't have it
• --------- it costs 5 ped worth of shrapnel (50k) and something you can get every 24 hrs
• Saturday, Jan 13th
• --- 10:00 - 12:30 game time
• --------- continue questing and get missions completed if possible
• --------- make sure that everyone has the Ice Plateau Outskirts TP
• --- 13:00 - 15:00 game time
• --------- everyone should gather at the Ice Plateau Outskirts TP for a special event
• --------- we will have VIP(s) present for this event
• --------- I can only tell you that for most of us perhaps, this will be a unique experience
• --------- let it not be said that we don't provide exciting game play for our Monrian Borns
• --------- after the event, we continue with missions and/or enjoy some team hunting on big mobs
• Sunday, Jan 14th
• --- 10:00 - 18:00 game time
• --------- continue questing and get as many missions completed as possible
• --------- continue helping everyone get as many TPs as possible for future exploration
• --------- continue having fun with team hunts
• --- 18:00 game time
• --------- some of us need to prepare for the Sunday travel schedule
• --------- Monrian Borns and others can come back to Monria with us, or stay until the following Friday
• --- 20:00 game time
• --------- Monria travel schedule begins, and concludes at Monria at 22:00 game time

Any activities with the Monrian community members is fun and crazy because we are a spontaneous and random lot where anything is possible, and ... it's always good to "Expect the Unexpected."

I'm jealous that I am not Monrian born. I also recently read your Cyrene book and wish it was available before my first trip to Cyrene as it cleared up a bit of the major confusion I had about the different factions and some named NPC's.
I can't do the once off initial missions again but would like to join in anyway if I am awake. Sadly you are typically on in my late night shift so this depends on the timing of the schedule.
I also have scores to settle with some of the mobs there.

Is there an approximate schedule for this outing?
The scheduled warp is unfortunately at 4 AM for me, when I would normally be sleeping unless the cat insists on being fed at the time.
I'll therefore prefer to join in somewhat later during my day and it would help to know where and when.

Absolutely, for anyone on Monria who won't be available at the time we start our travel schedule today, you can take any one of our Monria TPs up to the Monria SS, and then use the Monria SS TP to go up to the Yamato. There's no fee for any of it and it's easier than trying to fly out of the SS and into the Yamato portal.

Once we reach Cyrene, everyone who needs to depart will do it then, but we will continue our travel schedule and head back to Monria. We will not be docking the Yamato at the Cyrene SS for the whole weekend, so you'll have to be available to leave the ship at Cyrene when we dock there at 21:30 game time.

I updated the first post with a couple of really valuable Cyrene links you might want to bookmark. They are full of specific data that will be very helpful as you explore Cyrene.

I also added an "Itinerary" so that everyone knows generally what we will be doing and when.

It just got better ... don't tell anyone ... it's the only way to goartydance ... and if you get calls from people asking what's going on, just tell them that there will be hunting 2 and TP runs :running so that we have all bases covered, and that Saturday's surprise event just got amped up. :mnmdance

Friday night went pretty well with picking up beginner missions, getting everyone present the Ice Plateau TP for the special event on Saturday starting at 13:00, and Hakura hosted a gathering at the Hub where we got pretty nekkid and went a round or two with Swamp Lurkers.

Thing is ... back in the day, I used to harass these guys because they were always trying their best to get in the way during the covert ops I did involving the Zekkonians for Senator Calvin Neff. This guy was going to sound the alarm that I was back on Cyrene, but I was ready to spread frog legs across the Hub Pit. :devil

Hakura also hosted a Paneleon team hunt where we all used TT pistols. It was fun.

For those who are on this field trip with us, please make sure one way or another that you have the Ice Plateau Outskirts Teleporter before 13:00 game time because that's where we will all meet.

In the meantime, I'm heading into the game to help with the missions and getting TPs. We might do more team hunting as well, but we want to get everyone their Maze Hammer too. We'll be busy after the special event as well as we continue with missions, TP captures, and other planned and spontaneous activities.
