Monrian Born | Calypso Field Trip | Jan 20-22

Monria's main focus is community, and especially our Monrian Born, which is why we specifically created the Community Initiatives Program (CIP). We want to guide our Monrian Born in their initial experiences on the Moon, as well as give them the opportunity to explore the rest of the universe.

This particular field trip to Planet Calypso is the first in a series that will guide our Monrian Born on a specific and progressive path to accomplish mission chains and enjoy other activities that will be beneficial in their overall growth and skill-building.These field trips will be conducted for other planets as well.

Field Trips are sponsored by the CIP Program, and presented by the Monrian Born Program managed by @RosaRaine Buns and @Superraine raine r456. Members of the Monria Volunteer Support Team (MVST) will accompany us on field trips to help guide our Monrian Born through the activities.

PLANET CALYPSO FIELD TRIP AGENDA​

TRAVEL

• depart Monria for Calypso on Friday, Jan 20th aboard the Yamato @ 20:00 game time
• return to Monria from Calypso on Sunday, Jan 22nd aboard the Yamato @ 21:00 game time
• be sure to friend list @RosaRaine Buns and @Superraine raine r456 for any questions

COMMUNICATION

• please post in this thread with your intention of joining us on this field trip -- MVST members too
• you will be sent an invite to the Monria Discord server for voice chat
• if you are unable to do voice chat, there will also be an in-game field trip chat channel

ACTIVITIES

• you will be guided through both the initial Gauntlet and Bukins Spare Rifle missions
• we will do TP runs so that you can collect Teleporters at various locations for future exploration
• we will do several team hunts using the Bukins Spare Rifle
• there will be a scavenger hunt for items that will help with your continued experiences
• if we have enough people for a full team (or more) we will take on a Proteron or two with the Bukins

Any activities with the Monrian community members is fun and crazy because we are a spontaneous and random lot where anything is possible, and it's always good to expect the unexpected.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly when each of the events will take place because of everyone's time zone, so when we get a group together for the field trip, we discuss times and activities and go from there, but ...

When we leave Monria on Friday Jan 20th with the regular Yamato travel schedule, we will most likely get involved in the two missions listed to make sure everyone can complete them, but if there are those who can't be available because of time restrictions, then we will make sure that they are able to complete them the following day (Sat, Jan 21st).

This is why we have the Monrian Born management team (@RosaRaine Buns and @Superraine raine r456 ), myself, and our MVSTs along on the field trips to make sure that everyone is able to accomplish what we want to accomplish, whether it's Friday, Saturday, or Sunday before going home to Monria during the Sunday travel schedule.

Bumping this thread as a reminder that our Monrian Born field trip to Calypso is tomorrow, Friday, Jan 20 - Sunday. Jan 22. Pass the word to the Monrian Born players that you see, because we leave Monria on the Yamato at 20:00 game time, and if they aren't on the guest list, they need to make sure they are before then.

You can also talk with @RosaRaine Buns and @Superraine raine r456 who are the management team for the Monrian Born Program.

This field trip is going to be lots of fun, so be sure to join us. We have a few of our MVST (Monria Volunteer Support Team) members coming along to help guide the activities.

How much PED do you expect me to need in order to complete the trip with the gun and VIVO quests?
I'm not sure I have enough and if I don't than I prefer sticking to swunting Shoggoths during the weekend

I don't want to risk starting the quests and running out of PED in the middle being unable to swunt during the next week due to lack of ammo and inability to sell sweat.

i dont think you'll need much ped except for getting on the planet and for that u can probably get a ride down if its your 1st time and i remember rite it gives u ten ped ammo and if we have a big enough team u wont use much running through the gauntlet so don't worry ;) just sit back and have fun s2

It isn't my first time on Calypso.
Last time I visited there I got stuck the entire weekend on an outpost unable to kill\swunt anything in sight until the Yamato came to the rescue and took me back home

I can probably set aside 10 PED for the quests but do you really think 10 PED will be enough to finish both of them?

Yes 10 ped will be enough with a small gun like the herman ark0 or g1 pistol or even modec 100.

Also ill be taking the team through Gauntlet stage 2. Where the reward is 10 ped ammo if uve never done it before thats a one time only reward. Those mobs in there are to tough for a new player without good armor. So if need be ill just run through it quick to complete it for everyone.

With the MVST members comming well have plenty of help if any one needs

We will probably repeat a few things that we do specifically because of time-zones, so you just need to let us know when you're in the game in Monria chat and we can go from there.

I will create a MFT (Monria Field Trip) chat channel where we can all communicate, and those on the field trip will get the invite. That way, everyone will know what activity we are involved with, or what the instructions are.

On Saturday I'll play from about 08:00 to 17:00 MA time.
Today I'll play until about midnight MA time (4 hours after the Yamato starts her journey) - maybe a bit longer depends on when I'll fall asleep on my keyboard .
