During a past Halloween event there had been an unexpected breach at DSEC Forensics atop the rock formation when Yog-Sothoth opened a portal. After all, he sees all, knows all and is the keeper at the gate. Ant wasn't at Forensics, so I headed to the DSEC Mining Camp. He was nowhere to be found, so my next stop was the DSEC Military Camp. Upon arriving, there was an eerie tenseness in the air, and as my eyes scanned the area at the teleporter, that is when I saw a green cloud rising above the rock walls in the direction of Wang's Pet Stable and the Monria Boxing Ring.
As I walked the rock wall from the teleporter and made my first turn, I could see Wang's Pet Stable and all seemed to be ok, but when I made my second turn giving me a clear view of the Monria Boxing Ring, it was then I felt the air become somewhat electric and closing in around me. As I walked closer to the Monria Boxing Ring, my jaw dropped, because Decca and K'Tan Partathus were standing over Ant lying flat on his face with his Monria Boxing Gloved-hands behind him. They were performing dark magic that I was all too familiar with, and Ant looked like he was down for the count.
With thoughts of rushing to his rescue I received an unexpected whisper that said do it from a voice I knew to be that of Pinthas, Leader of the Elder Gods. It was as clear as if he were standing next to me. He then said that Decca and K'Tan couldn't hurt me, but that he would have to explain why another time. I couldn't dwell on what Pinthas said in the past about eventually learning who I was because every minute that Decca and K'Tan were left to their dark magic over Ant it would be destructive.
I moved more swiftly now toward the Monria Boxing Ring, and when they noticed my presence, they stopped their incantation. I kept reminding myself that Pinthas said they couldn't hurt me, so I trusted that and jumped into the ring to face them. They both winced and moved back away from Ant. I don't know what possessed me to say it, but I told them both that they have no power over me, and should they ever try anything like this again, I would bring upon them a more dark and evil sorcery than what they were trying to affect over Ant. After those words came out of my mouth I knew I had to follow through with a strong stand.
To my surprise, I started levitating with outstretched arms. It was a power and feeling I had not yet experienced, but perhaps this is part of what Pinthas said a long time ago, that I would eventually learn about myself, who I really am and what purpose I must fulfill. I guess I was convincing enough, because Decca and K'Tan said absolutely nothing and instantly disappeared. Geezus, why didn't I know this stuff before now. I've gotten telepathic messages from the unknown for quite some time, but nothing like this has ever happened before. I was also told a long time ago by Pinthas that Dark Moon Enigma is not just a name, and that there will be a reckoning.
I descended back to the boxing ring floor and saw that Ant was stirring. As he stood up I asked if he was ok and waited to see if he remembered anything, but asked what he was doing at the boxing ring. He said he wasn't sure. Since he was face down on the floor, I asked if he was going a few rounds with Shadow again (she usually has the upper hand). He said he didn't think so and had no clue why he was in the boxing ring. I suggested he go home and get some rest because he's always working so hard. I should talk, Kendra tries to get us both to take breaks, but that's a foreign language to us. At least he didn't have recollection of what took place when I arrived. It probably would have freaked him out and then I would have to explain something I have no clue about myself, other than strange things are happening.
I just know this ... that with our annual Halloween event coming up soon, I wouldn't put it past Decca to make more attempts, so we definitely have to be on our guard to keep everyone safe. However, I am walking away from this more curious than ever as to why I felt so empowered to confront Decca.
The question is ... what happened to my memories, and will I have to go through something similar to what Pinthas did to get them back?

RULES & GUIDELINES
- you do not need to register at EntropiaLife for this event ... globals/hofs are automatically recorded
- please ask questions in Monria chat and refrain from PM'ing DME if at all possible
- be considerate of your fellow participants during the event
- --- this includes not cluttering TP areas in the craters with vehicles and/or landing on top of people
- --- when going back out into the field, please be considerate of where you land and pick up vehicles
- --- turrets don't work during our events, so please don't drag mobs to the TP areas
- TEAMING
- teams must have the name Monria in the team name to be eligible for team prizes
- please do not use symbols in your team name so it makes it easier to filter for the event data spreadsheet
- please register your Team Name and Team Leader in this thread
- --- any prizes won will be given to the Team Leader for distribution unless Team Leader PM's DME otherwise
- societies cannot have more than one team name with their society name in it
- HEALERS
- if you hire a healer and don't team, your globals/hofs will count as Solo entries
- if you team with a healer, or anyone else, your globals/hofs will count as Team entries
- MINING
- all of Monria is open to those who wish to participate in the mining portion of the event
- if you get a claim in an area where you are challenged to excavate it because of mobs ...
- --- ask in Monria chat to see if any of our VCAT members are available to assist

- Solo Hunting, Team Hunting
- you can only win one Solo and one Team hunting prize
- you can also win a mining prize based on the following rules
- you can also win the Evil Leprechaun prize
- Mining
- if you get the highest global/hof and one of the lowest globals ... you win the highest
- if you win the highest, you are not eligible for either the first or last lowest global prizes
- the person who wins the first lowest global is not eligible to win the last lowest global
- if you get the first lowest global, you can continue mining toward getting the highest
- Example ... you get the first lowest global and have the first recorded time
- --- this means you win the first lowest global prize
- --- but there's an incentive to continue mining to see if you can get the highest global/hof
- --- if you do, then the person who had the lowest global with the time right after yours ...

- Additional Information

HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST | DETAILS
RULES
- Time | 16:00 game time -- Location | DSEC Military Camp -- Monria Boxing Ring
- at DSEC Military Camp TP, go North around the rock wall, and past Wang's Pet Stable to the boxing ring
- register with the Event Organizer at the boxing ring before 16.00 game time, or with Global Event option
- --- this is only for those who are participating in the Halloween Costume Contest
- be sure to register prior to the start of the event, or you won't gain access to the boxing ring
- at 16:00 game time, all participants should be in the boxing ring --- please be on time
- --- stand around the outer edge of the ring at the ropes and not in the center
- --- the Virtualsense Team will be in the center of the ring reviewing your costumes
- your look has to be a complete ensemble and not just a mask --- go all out
- wearing just the new Elder Gods Suit from the Shrine event at Mountain of Madness will not count
- --- make sure to dress it up the best you can
- be your most creative self because some costume photos will be published
- if you are not in the running for winning a prize, you will be eliminated from the ring
- --- and you can't fight back
- if you are eliminated, please respect the method of elimination, as well as your fellow contestants
- once eliminated, you may not re-enter the ring
- the eliminations will continue until there are 3 people standing --- they will be the winners

Here is a closeup look at the face masks that Skeezer and Agent Pink were wearing because Agent Pink's wasn't even showing in the ring and Skeezer's podium photo does show his mask in the way it was meant to be seen as the Evil Leprechaun. For some reason, there was a lot of lag in the ring and it was taking forever for everything to load for all of us and this never happened before.
