Monria Exploration - Find the item - win a prize!

Hello my fellow Monrians,

First i apologize if this is in the wrong section, please feel free to move it if need be.

I have come to realize that there is more to do on Monria than just craft/mine/hunt/sweat or trade.
When i look around, I see many people AFK at crafting terminals, or semi AFK sweating/hunting/mining, etc

It makes me feel sad sometimes as there are plenty of interesting things to do that don't require PEDs, although you won't get any loot or skills for doing them....as the rule goes, you only get out what you put in...or in EU's case, you only get a % back from what you spend.

So to maybe help people realize other things to do, I have decided to do some exploration in the caves, and boy did I see some amazing sights, I took a few pics (Thanks DME for the trick about clearing the screen):

I managed to find an Ample Erdorium stones while mining in this next one:

I can see the path below...could be fun to jump and surprise someone!

So after exploring, i decided to go back and hide an item in a spot where I took one of the above pictures.
I don't know how long it takes for items to be cleared so this may need to be quick.

But the first person to find the item and bring it back to me....I will give you 100PED!!!!!

So get your climbing boots on and don't forget your rope, I will post once (or more likely IF) someone finds the item.

P.S: since the caves are huge, I will give a hint, It is somewhere between the Cave 2 TP and the Cave 3 TP.

P.P.S: Don't think you can just run around the usual walkways and find it on the ground, get creative! look for holes, rocky paths, anywhere you think you may be able to go...and try for those areas that you dont think you can go...you will be surprised by what secrets these caves hold.

Also if you are not strong enough to get through cave 1...get a team together or ask you mentor for help. If i'm around I will escort you to the cave 2 TP, just PM me.

That IS a good question, is there a janitor in the game and how long does it take for dropped / placed stuff to go poof? I think you should be good for a while though. I have hidden Ped / Pec before and have seen it a day or two later.

Nice initiative there, I like it. It's always exciting when community members get creative and involve others. That's also a very generous prize there too, and I'm sure there are some who could really use it.

Hopefully there will be some who will go on a treasure hunt for the prize.

Hopefully it lasts that long, I will go check the spot each day to see if item is still there, if it's not I will place another one in same spot until found.

I wanted to make the first one a decent prize to get people excited enough to go on the hunt.
Will see how this goes and may consider doing it as a regular event but with different prizes.

We may be getting close to having someone find it. I saw someone in the vicinity of it when I logged in, they still had a bit of "climbing" to do (hint hint), so this maybe be over sooner than i thought!

If no one has found it by tomorrow, I will post a hint here as to where it maybe located and will drop the prize by 10 ped....I will do this each day going forward until it has been found or the prize gets down to 50ped....at that time i will post the "/pos " of the exact location and it will be first to grab the item....that way it's still a decent prize pool.

That's an idea, but i don't want people to get upset and have to search everywhere again for the same prize...I want someone to win the prize, and then we can start over again...thinking next time I will have 3 prizes, easy/med and hard....each with different values. Plus then I can move around Monria each week for new locations and people are not searching the same spots all the time.

I'm open to ideas on this as it only came to me while I was exploring so feel free to hit me up when I'm on

Well, great hunt! Those caverns are HUGE (even considering limited area you specified)!

My sister was looking there, until she got tired and had to go sleep, and meanwhile got little sidetracked and nearly reached surface...
I then took this from her; and forgot about time (it is 3:25 here). I stopped after VERY BIG fall (got achievement, You cannot Fly! ), I am tired too... but this is fun.

If that is still there tomorrow, one of us (or both), will surely continue - and its fun even without reaching prize .
Oh well... we will continue even if someone find it

Anyways, thanks for great entertainment - we even didnt known before, that it is possible to get out of major path through caves...
