I actually recently aquired a adjusted resto chip. I'm pretty sure i could do the normal waves without plates but the Raees wave might be a problem. I am going to give it a go without the plates next time and see how it turns out.
Thanks for the advice ;)

I'm trying to get a full set of plates, being a little stubborn about it even. I'm well aware my dps is lacking. I had not tought about the added decay on armor like you mentioned. That certainly makes sense.
