DME | Moon State of Mind

JCCCCCCCCCCCC --> I am SO glad that you're here. You and I have quite the history, from your Capital Crafting Events, to marathon beacon runs, to team hunts, to so many things that made back in the day such an awesome time in this universe. We want to bring those times back with what we're doing on the Moon.

We may have had a difference of opinion now and then, but I don't think we ever lost sight of the friendship factor.

Yes, the times I had w/ MS9 were fun, and based on the good time you showed me last time I was on the moon, (Can't link to monria/forum/blogs/shoggy-showdown-w-jc-sidekick-toecutter.18/ since I'm not active enough here yet) I'm sure we'll have a good time when I return.

Shame the changes to crafting machines, while making it way more convenient, makes further crafting contests essentially impossible. (I.E. direct access to opening auctions. Simply can't get around using that to cheat, that I can see.) But that's a small price to pay. No worries. Still tons of fun to be made in this community.

Yep I've struggled with trying to come up with a format for crafting events, so any ideas would be welcome. I had considered using bps with ingredients that couldn't be found on the auction, like sweat then giving contestants a pat down in lootable pvp before having them escorted to the terminal but it seemed a little too much like a bad gangster movie!

We did do a craft off for single highest loot but there wasn't much interest and it just ended up being an excuse for me to put @Pusherman in his box

My friends from the past get to experience a whole new me from the Dark side of the Moon. I'm taking everyone on a magical mystery tour through the horrors of Cthulhu and his cronies who continue to fail at controlling us and the Moon. We're just about 5 months in on the 26th, and just started shifting the dust in the craters.

That Main Crater sure is getting a workout. Blame our awesome MA Engineer. :clap

So nice to see you too Oleg --> when you came to the Moon for our Valentine's Day Event, I wanted to run up to you in the Shub Cavern and hug you wildly while you were kicking Shub ass and fireworks were going off around you. We have quite the history too, and I especially remember your Break Out events that I covered live on the radio. It was one of the most brilliant events that kept everyone in suspense. I did that and the Rat Race Event for someone else at the same time, so lots of fantastic memories every time I see your name pop up.

However, one of the MOST exciting event series I carried live coverage of was your EU World Boxing Championship, and that just gave me an inspiration.

Look at who the Heavyweight Champ was in 2012.​

I've gone dark Mac :devil and while the spirit of the purple is still a driving force, I'm not so sure there will be that big a splash. It will be more black than anything else, and the white angel wings are meant to be a distraction, especially since they got dirty somehow. I still have to figure that one out.

I did not know you when u were MS9, all I know is DME. You have done a great job . I have always had the question of how you do everything that you do when you are new to game , I told Raine there is no way you just started playing , so that explains a lot. It was a very smart move to get very experienced players to join Ants team to bring Monria to life .

Greetings.

Since the introduction of planets in EU, sadly, I never left Calypso to explore whats "out there".

I am pretty glad, the first time I decided to visit another planet, a friend of mine and also a soc mate, convinced me to travel to Monria.

So, my first outer Calypso (inculding Foma+CP) experience, was Monria. What a blast! No confusion, no stress, all well placed, terminals, access, TP's, etc. I loved the place right from the start. Doing the initial missions that take me into another world, another story.

Then the event came and I got this girl, that someone on my soc, already told she was part of the people that run Monria, talking to me when I got into the South Crater TP.

I found out her! :O

I was amazed, happy to see someone from the "old times". I know her story and her "fight" for the community and so glad for her.
Since the times of her moderating the EU Forums, (moderating me for my radical explosions in Forums lol), to today.

Monria is very well served indeed.

I wish all people involving in this great project my best wishes of success and of course, my best wishes to Mind** cough cough, Moon

Purple Heart of Friendship ... appropriate on Veterans Day since we're both EU Vets

I'm glad that you ventured to the Moon and that you enjoyed yourself. We have SO much in store for our community, and we wish we could get it out faster, but we're also being pretty picky about what we develop. We're doing all of the reconstruction right now to prepare for our progressive quest line that will be steeped in Monria storyline.

Also, as you may know, we are not a full-on planet, so we work very closely with MindArk to implement our development plans, which means getting the time we need at the drawing board.

At any rate ... I'm sure you will discover more as you become familiar with Monria and our community, they are absolutely amazing, and very helpful. We want to bring back that good old social experience from back in the day, and have a lot of fun doing it, while also working with the community to deliver the best Monria experience possible.

As i told you, i was figuring who you were before DME because we're both pretty long term players. Happy to hear who is behind DME because, although i don't know you that well, i can't think of anyone else to fill the position better then you, kudo's for Ant on that!

Good to give the explanation en reasoning behind choices made in the past, think you as team made the best decicions centered around the vision and the moon. Love the place so far, first time in many years i had the "old" community feeling back, like the old days.... ahh the eg..uhm nostalgia.

Nice job, keep it up and catch you on the moon!

Thank you Kanjo, that means a lot. Ant will be celebrating his 13th yr in our universe in September, so he has longevity as well, and we have always been on the same page.

Our friendship is almost as long as our longevity in the game, and one of our goals was to bring back the old social environment feel that we all enjoyed so much. We've gotten great feedback about our progress on that, but it takes a whole community to make it happen, and our community is amazing.

We have a lot of plans for Monria, but they are plans inspired by the community because we want to deliver the best experience possible.
