Bahri Codex, wrong picture?

Heya, my first thread in this forum :)

If you open up the Codex on Toulan or Dsec9 and look at the Bahri you will see some strange looking heads in the first 2 slides :)
New Content? I guess that should not be seen :D

Looks like an Aztec inspired Cthulhu spawn to me.

MoM Pyramid boss and its minions perhaps?

The texturing/artwork is really good on this these - my favorite mob on Toulan/DSEC aesthetically for sure.

Follow-up research implies maybe yes.

New statues found outside the pyramid and the interior is filled with water now (no cultists) - looks fitting for these aesthetically semi-aquatic creatures.

Assuming the altar starts a wave or is a teleporter to a dungeon beneath... or maybe it's just for flavor :)
