Event | Monria's Round Robin Tournament

I wanted to do something different with this event and engage the community in a bit of pre-event story and activities to give it a little air of mystery so no one knew what was coming.

I did this by making posts in The Deep Dark Abyss is Rumbling thread.

Now that I have all the information from Goth, I can share it.

It seems we're just too good at defense so Cthulhu is going to try our resolve through his minions in a more calculated way and over a period of time. There is no other way to define this other than a Round Robin assault.

It began with the Shoggoth this week on Wednesday from 16:00 - 22:00 EU time in the Main Crater with an increase in creature spawn that included all levels and named creatures, as well as bosses. This was the trial before the full-on 24 hour battle assault that takes place from 00:00 - 23:59 EU time on Saturday, Aug 20th.

During the Shoggoth Wednesday Trial, I gave away an item prize for the first 3 Globals, and two additional items were donated for prizes but only one of them could be awarded prior to the trial period ending, so it carries over into our random item giveaways during the next Wednesday Trial with the Yog.

NOTICE​

Anyone who got a Global in a team from the time the event started and the time this event thread was posted, please post what your team name was prior to adding the name "Monria" to your team name. There were reasons why the event thread was not posted prior to the event starting, which is the first time this has happened with any of our events, so for that I apologize, but crap happens sometimes.

We are always very fair with our events, and considerate of how we define the event elements, as well as the prizes and distribution. No way would we ever do anything to put our participants at a disadvantage.

Here is how the Monria Round Robin Tournament is going to work:
(the PED prizes will increase each week)

Healers

• if you hire a healer and you don't team, your globals/hofs will count in the Solo category
• if you team with your healer, your globals/hofs will not be considered for the Solo category
• if creating a team for the Sat 24 hr assault events, you must use the name Monria in team name
• teaming is not allowed during Wed Trials due to how prizes are given out on hour and half-hour

ROUND 1 -- Shoggoth

• Wednesday Trial
• August 17th -- 16:00 - 22:00 EU time -- Main Crater
• Herman ARK-0 weapons given out with 20 PED BLP ammo -- limited to 20
• item prizes given for first 3 Globals
• additional Global prizes given if there are donations from community members
• other random item giveaways may occur like a Pet with 400 Nutrio Bars and a Pet Name Tag

RULES

• Teaming
• teams must have the name "Monria" in their team name to be eligible for prizes
• if you hire a healer and don't team, your Globals / HoFs will count as Solo entries
• if you team with a healer, then you are considered a team and your Globals / HoFs won't count as Solo
• Prizes
• you can only win one prize for Solo and one prize for Team
• you cannot win multiple prizes in all 4 mob categories
• if you have the single highest or lowest Solo or Team Global / HoF on more than one mob category --
• -----> only your first recorded Global / HoF for Solo and Team will qualify for the prizes
• Example -- you have the single highest or lowest Solo or Team Global / HoF on a Yog and Cultist --
• -----> whatever Global / HoF was recorded first, that's the qualifier for the prize -- you can't win both
• Another Example -- if you have the single highest or lowest Global / HoF for Solo on Yog --
• -----> then join a Team and get single highest or lowest Global / HoF on Shub -- that's acceptable

EVENT PRIZE DETERMINATION AND DISTRIBUTION

• a person can only win one Solo category and a team can only win one Team category
• you cannot win the Solo and/or Team prizes in multiple mob categories
• in case of draw --> the first recorded time wins
• as in the past, Anhithe will receive extracted data from Entropia Life to determine winners
• winners and data will be shared the next day in the second post of this thread
• prizes will be distributed by DME after winners have been determined and posted

Solo and Team winners from the Saturday Assaults and Main Event are automatically entered.
It's a unique event that will challenge you, but you will be rewarded.

There was no mention of needing to have Monria in your team name in the original event description. I don't think it would be fair to apply the Monria team name rule to our global as it was added after we made that global.

I already explained this to you in the game Kaya, and why the event thread was posted after the event started. I also mentioned that you should come to the event thread and post what your team name was prior to changing it and adding the name "Monria" -- which you didn't do in your post.

I also said that your Global would count, so I don't know why you needed to come here and start this up again because I gave you every clarification possible so that you would understand, and you said you did.

Once the event thread was posted, I got in the game to explain everything and to give out weapons if anyone needed them, but I am now out of the game (12:30am my time -- 4:30am EU time) and can edit the thread with the notification that any Global gotten from when the event started at 00:00 EU time and the time I posted the event thread would count.

You now need to come back to the thread and post what your team name was prior to changing it.

In the future, if you have any questions whatsoever about an event, please ask me. We are more than fair.

Tomorrow begins Round 2 of Monria's Round Robin Tournament with the Wednesday Yog Trials, so get yourself prepared. It will run from 16:00 - 22:00 EU time in the South Crater.
