Once upon a time, Lord Elrond of Rivendell was casting a spell of teleportation and did a mistake in form of a single letter too much, concerning his destination.
He awoke on the Planet "Monria" instead of the gates of "Moria"...
Just kidding
Elrond Drood is a ...let me say "suspicius" and a little...creepy person, haunted by his own demons.
He believes that he is posessed by the immortal soul of Jack the Ripper from the ancient City of London on the long forgotten Planet Earth, which used some Blood-Magic and made contracts with demons of the Church of Cthulu to become immortal.
Some say, he is just a creepy and insane psycho, wearing victorian clothes and a dangerous affinity to blades.
His better, but odd, personality is "Elrond", the elven Healer from the books of J.R.R. Tolkien. When this personality comes to light (or darkness ), he is a generous and nice person, acting aristocratic but completely without selfishness, healing everybody for free and seeking knowledge in all his forms (even when it is forbidden knowledge of Cthulu and his otherworldly horrors).
For sure he is a split personality and he came to Monria to get rid of his connection to the church of Cthulu, the two souls posessing his tortured mind and become mortal again.
After that he can start looking for his true personality...or some plastic surgery to get this pointy ears, almond eyes and other cliche-elven-stuff.
Be sure to meet him only when is Elrond, just an advice
